Protection from Jinn and Evil Eye

وعن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه قال ‏:‏ كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يتعوذ من الجان، وعين الإنسان، حتى نزلت المعوذتان، فلما نزلتا، أخذ بهما وترك ما سواهما ‏.‏

Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri radiAllahu anhu narrates: The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ would seek to seek protection against the evil of Jinn and the Evil Eye until Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed, He ﷺ took them and left everything besides them. Al-Tirmidhi

Surah Falaq:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ ﴿﴾ قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ﴿﴾ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ﴿﴾ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿﴾ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الْعُقَدِ ﴿﴾ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَ حَسََدَ 

Proclaim (O dear Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings be upon him), “I take refuge of the One Who creates the Daybreak.” “From the evil of His entire creation.” “And from the evil of the matter that darkens when it sets.” “And from the evil of the witches who blow into knots.” “And from the evil of the envier when he is envious of me.”

Surah Naas

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿﴾ قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ﴿﴾ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ﴿﴾ إِلٰهِ النَّاسِ ﴿﴾ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ﴿﴾ الَّذِىْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ﴿﴾ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ 

Proclaim (O dear Prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings be upon him), “I take refuge of the One Who is the Lord of all mankind.” “The King of all mankind.” “The God of all mankind.” “From the evil of the one who instils evil thoughts in the hearts – and stays hidden.” “Those who instil evil thoughts into the hearts of men.” “Among the jinns and men.”
