Seerah -Life of The Prophet ﷺ

Loving The Noble Prophet ﷺ is obligatory upon every Muslim as is to know Him ﷺ. Dar al Zahra speaks about The Noble Prophet ﷺ to all students on a regular basis. Seerah of The Noble Prophet ﷺ is taught to students on Fridays (alternating between subjects). Knowing about The Noble Prophet ﷺ is paramount to us as Muslims for it is He ﷺ who gave us this beautiful religion and He ﷺ is the one who was given The Majestic Quran by Allah Ta’ala. The Prophet ﷺ is The One whom we try and follow and it is He ﷺ whos intercession we seek on the day of judgment. In order for us to succeed in both worlds we must learn about The Best of Creation ﷺ, therefore we ensure that every student knows some of His ﷺ Seerah in hope that they will increase in love for the Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Tarbiyya- Correct etiquette and Manners

Tarbiyya is something which is of great importance for all, not only in Madrassa or Masjid but at home and generally in all walks of life. In this day and age, it is of even greater importance that children at taught the correct manners when speaking with elders, parents, teachers and even each other. Dar al Zahra Education regularly teaches children adab (respect) and reminders students that their attitude and behavior is something which must always be of the greatest standard. Sayyidinah Malik r.a reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ  said, “I have been sent to perfect good character.” We pray Allah Ta’ala grants us the greatest of adab with all. Ameen.

Ramadan and Salat al Taraweeh

The blessed month of Ramadan is one of the best times of the year for Muslims. It is a time where Muslims strive and keep fast, increase in prayer and charity and recitation of the Quran al Kareem. It is for this reason that dar al Zahra teaches students throughout the month of Ramadan (minus last ten days). At times this blessed month is called Shahrul Quran (The Month of the Quran) and we should strive to complete at least one Quran in this blessed month. We also offer Salat al Taraweeh with congregation in which the entire Quran is completed in the month of Ramadan al Kareem and students are encouraged to take part in taraweeh. Please note: Salat al Taraweeh is open to the public and staff are always present.

Quran Hifdh (Hifz) Programme

We have an excellent Hifdh programme for both full and part-time students. Each student must have a good level of tajweed before starting the Hifdh programme. The Hifdh is carefully structured according to the ability of the student, typically a student completes the entire Quran by memory in three years, some may take longer depending on their ability. Some students have also completed the Quran in less than three years. Hifdh class is 4 hours long, Monday to Friday. The timings are 4:30pm – 8:30pm, however, we also have part-time students who require flexible timing, if you require any more information please contact us on 0121-213-1246. We also provide Quran ‘Manzil’, in which Hufaaz attend to go over their manzil (memorisation) in order to correct any mistakes and to strengthen their memorisation. During the month of Shaban (One month before Ramadan) we also provide taraweeh practice for students, this is so they get experience in leading the taraweeh salah.

Tajweed

It is extremely important for children to learn the Quran correctly, with the correct Makharij and articulation.
