Virtues Of The Quran

Virtues Of The Quran

The Quran is the Kalam (Speech) of Allah (Exalted and Generous is He), it is a complete manual of guidance and cure for the whole of mankind. The recitation of The Holy Quran brings solace and peace to the reciter and the listener and its virtues are many. Some of the ahadith pertaining to its virtues and blessings are mentioned below.

1) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for its reciters’ (Muslim)

2) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

The Quran and its people who acted upon it will be brought forth on the Day of Resurrection, preceded by Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Ali Imran. (Muslim)

3) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it’ (Bukhari)

4) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

The example of those who recite the Quran and memorize it is that of one who is with the ‘righteous and noble scribes’ (80:15); and the example of one who recites the Quran with great difficulty is that of one who receives a double reward. (Bukhari)

  5) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

There is no envy except in two cases: a man whom Allah has given this Book so he stands to recite it during the day and night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it during the day and night.(Bukhari)

6) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will receive one good deed as ten good deeds like it. I do not say that alif-lam-meem is one letter, but rather Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter. (Tirmidhi)

  7)  The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

It will be said to the companion of the Quran: Recite and ascend as you recited in the world, for your rank is determined by the last verse you recite. (Tirmidhi)

8)  The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘The superiority of the speech of Allah compared to all other speech is like the superiority of Allah over His creation’ . (Tirmidhi)

9) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘Every Prophet was given miracles because of which people believed, but what I have been given is Divine Inspiration which Allah has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection’  (Bukhari)

10) The Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘You will not come back to Allah with anything better than that which came from Him’ (The Qur’an al Kareem) (Hakim)
